The project was inspired by drill chucks, that allow us to connect various objects with different radiuses. In the project I designed different chucks that replace the natural tree calluses, which typically form around new branches. I experimented different mechanisms and shapes such as Iris mechanisms, drill chucks and spindle chucks. All the project was designed using Solidworks and Rhino 3D. The parts were produced using a CNC machine and 3D printing.
